* Help Mollie Raise Money for Leukemia & Lymphoma! *
Welcome! My name is Mollie Donovan and my goal is to raise $4000 in sponsorships for the
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by running an Olympic distance triathlon. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program (TNT) is the world's largest endurance sports training program. In exchange for training & support, we'll be raising funds that go toward research, advocacy, patient services & public awareness. Of the money we raise, more than 76% goes directly to the cause. I got involved in TNT through the suggestion of a co-worker, Shonna, whose son, Christopher, has Leukemia. As a triathlete, I am always looking for a new challenge and my commitment to the program grew after I met some of the amazing people who are involved in raising over 100 million dollars yearly for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. Christopher is an optimistic, athletic 15 year-old who loves football and was diagnosed on September 18th, 2001. His strength and determination have moved me to work at raising these funds and will be my inspiration for finishing the triathlon. Did you know... * An estimated 106,700 people in the United States will be diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma in 2003? * Every nine minutes, another child or adult is expected to die from leukemia or lymphoma? * Pass It On * If you are unable to send financial support, please pass this information to anyone who might be interested. THANK YOU! I could not do this without your support. |
